Axonix launched in 2014 as a joint venture between Telefónica and Blackstone. We bought the technology behind Mobclix, the world’s leading mobile advertising exchange.
Mobclix pioneered programmatic and real-time bidding mobile advertising. Founded in 2009, Mobclix’s exchange platform grew to handle 22 billion ad impressions each month by 2013.
With our Mobclix ‘engine’, Axonix is taking RTB to the next stage by tapping into specialist mobile data. We’re enabling advertisers and publishers, large and small, to turbocharge their mobile ad revenues.
In March 2017…
We acquired British geo-location data experts Statiq – a move driven by our ambitious scale and diversification goals. With an impressive portfolio of demand side and ad network partners, the company focused on building customer profiles through identifying places people went – over time. It provided that critical link and understanding between observed online behaviours and real world activity that advertisers want and need. Combining this with Axonix’s unique telco-verified first-party data sets has helped us create a significantly superior and differentiated product set.
